FINAL SETTLEMENT REACHED WITH DIET DRUGS PLAINTIFFS' LAWYERS IN FAVOR OF THEIR CLIENTS

Extensive legal malpractice litigation arising out of the use of diet drugs by multiple plaintiffs finally was successfully settled by the Lewis Law Firm and the law firm of Hill & Minyard, Oxford, Mississippi. The case went to the Mississippi Supreme Court twice: First in the case styled, Sarenthia Channell, et al vs. Paul Kelly Loyocono and E. Scott Verhine, 954 So.2d 415 (Miss. 2007), appealed from Warren County Circuit Court and then Crist et al v. Paul Kelly Loyocono and E. Scott Verhine, 65 So. 3 837 (Miss. 2011). The litigation was initiated by the Lewis Law Firm in January, 2004. The defendants settled without admission of liability. The terms of the settlement are confidential.
